Khoya Coconut Barfi

Coconut Barfi is a simple recipe traditionally made with reduced Milk(Khoya), Sugar and desiccated Coconut.There are many methods to make Coconut Barfi such as barfi made without using Khoya or Milk or Barfi Made using fresh coconut.
Today we have decided to share the recipe of Khoya Coconut Barfi made with Desiccated Coconut, Khoya, Sugar, Milk, Ghee & Cardamom Powder.

  1. Grease a plate with ghee to set the Barfi and keep it aside.
  2. In a pan heat ghee on medium flame.
  3. Add Khoya and keep stirring on medium low flame for 2 Minutes.
  4. Now add Milk and keep stirring for 2-3 Minutes or till the consistency of mixture starts to become thick.
  5. Further add sugar and keep on stirring for 2-3 Minutes to make the consistency thick.
  6. Now add Cardamom Powder and stir.
  7. Lastly add desiccated coconut and mix well.
  8. Keep cooking the mixture on medium low flame till the mixture turns thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  9. Transfer the mixture to greased plate and spread properly with spatula.
  10. Spread chopped dry fruits on the top.
  11. Allow it to set and cool down completely at room temperature. (It will take near about an hour)
  12. Once the Barfi is set cut it into square pieces. (Do not remove the Barfi until it cools down, otherwise it will break)
  13. Transfer the Coconut Barfi to airtight container. (It Can be preserved for 3-4 Days)
