Take Brinjal and Tomato grease them with oil, put some cuts on brinjal with knife and roast the brinjal and tomato on gas or in the griller.
Peel off the roasted brinjal and tomato and mash it properly.
Heat the pan and add some oil, fry green chilies, garlic and ginger for 2-3 minutes. Now add fried green chili, garlic, ginger, spring onion, coriander leaves and salt in the mashed brinjal and tomato.
Beat all the ingredients together in a vessel and make smooth paste.
Heat the pan and add some oil, now fry mustard seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chilies,curry leaves, asafoetida and splash it on the brinjal mixture.
