Instructions
  1. Wash and boil the potatoes
  2. Peel the boiled potatoes and mash them properly
  3. Heat the oil in a pan
  4. Add mustard seeds let it crackle
  5. Then add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, curry leaves and Asafoetida. Stir for a minute.
  6. Add chopped onions.Stir fry onion till it gets golden brown
  7. Now add ginger garlic and green chili paste, fry it for 2 minutes
  8. Add turmeric and Red chili powder, stir fry for a minute
  9. Add mashed potatoes and mix properly. Keep cooking for 3-4 minutes
  10. Then sprinkle Kasuri Methi, chopped coriander leaves, salt and mix all the ingredients properly, cook it for 2 minutes
  11. Take it out in a bowl and let it cool down to the room temperature.
  12. When the mixture cools down make small balls.
  13. Take Gram flour in a bowl, add salt,cumin and a pinch of turmeric. Add water as per requirement and make a smooth batter.
  14. Heat the appam pan, now wrap the stuffing balls in the batter and put it into appam pan, cook it with 2-3 drops of oil till the wadas get golden brown.
  15. Now Aloo wada is ready to be served.
