Dal Khada Masala (Chana Dal Khada Masala)
Hey dear fellow food lovers!!! Today we are sharing the recipe of Dal Khada Masala. In this recipe we have cooked split Bengal Gram with whole spices. The whole spices we have used are Bay Leaf, Cloves, Cinnamon Stick, Star Anise, Cardamom & Black Pepper. You can also add the spices of your choice to prepare this recipe. Hope you all like it....
Instructions
  1. Wash and rinse split Bengal Gram.
  2. Place the washed Bengal gram in Pressure cooker add salt, Turmeric and required amount of water and pressure Cook it properly for about 3 whistles.
  3. Once the Dal is cooked properly, heat the oil in a pan and crackle cumin seeds.
  4. Now add Bay Leaves, Star Anise, Cinnamon Stick, Cardamom, Cloves, Black Pepper and Chopped Garlic.
  5. Cook till Garlic starts turning golden brown.
  6. Now add Sliced Onion and cook until translucent.
  7. Add Dry red Chilies, Asafoetida and saute for 2 minutes.
  8. Now add Red Chili Powder,Coriander Powder, Garam Masala Powder and Kasuri Methi.
  9. Stir fry for a minute then pour cooked Dal in it.
  10. Cook for another 5 minutes and bring it to boil.
  11. Once the Dal starts boiling stir it for 2-3 Minutes then turn off the flame.
  12. Garnish with chopped Coriander Leaves.
  13. Dal Khada Masala is ready to be served.
